Morphe 35N

Morphe 35N

For a while I’ve wanted the Too Faced Peach Palette. Mainly for the peach color. Well, that and to add it to my Too Faced collection. But the more I see it in person the more I feel like I don’t need it. However, there’s a look I keep wanting try and don’t. IMG_2784

Here’s the look I’ve been itching to do. I hadn’t tried because I didn’t think I had the color I wanted. Then I remembered I had the Morphe 35N palette which had two shades of peach I could totally use.

These palettes I feel got a lot of hype for a while and then it kind of died down. I don’t know why if they’re so pigmented and blend so effortlessly. They’re very inexpensive too. Often retailing for only $22 it’s a steal. Each palette has 35 shadows. This specific palette is all Neutrals and mattes, my favorite! They do however have vibrant shades and shimmers. Morphe also has collaborated with Jaclyn Hill to make the 35O palette which is a palette with all her favorite shades. I actually purchased my palette off of Hautelook at 50% off making the palette that much better.

As you can see it has a variety of neutral shades to create any look imaginable!

Theres so many colors I often get stumped on what looks to create. I usually use this palette to create a smoky eye or carry it when we travel. As you can see it isn’t small but it has so many shades you can go simple or glam-ish with one palette! I actually want to get more of these palettes!

Do you have any of these Morphe palettes? Any that are your favorite or you recommend??

Thanks for reading. I hope you enjoyed this post!

On Wednesday We Wear PINK!

On Wednesday We Wear PINK!

Anyone else obsessed with Mean Girls?? I know I was/am lol. I didnt know what I was going to do with makeup today but I knew I wanted to wear makeup. I was going on a week of being makeup free and I was getting bored. So since it’s Wednesday and on Wednesdays we wear pink I gave this look a shot. I kind of just winged it and only knew I wanted to use pink, of course! This is to make up for missing last weeks #MOTD

On the eyes I wore:

  • Almond truffle on the crease & bottom lash
  • Divinity for the brow bone
  • Totally fetch on the outer corner & bottom lash
  • Sprinkles all over the lid
  • Satin sheets for an inner corner and nose highlight

All from the Too Faced Bon Bons palette. I’m not usually bold with color but I am so happy I gave it a shot. I don’t know when I’d wear something like this maybe date night on the beach? I tend to stick to neutrals so these bold pops of color are different/new for me.

Whats your favorite color for spring or for a pop of color???

Chocolate Bar

Ever had that one palette that no matter how many different ones you own you always run back to?? For me its the original Chocolate Bar by Too Faced. I tell myself its the scent, the packaging, but who am I kidding! This palette has all the right shades for me. From two transitional shades and two highlight shades to amazing all over lid colors. If I could have one palette for the rest of my life it would be this one. It has the perfect combination of shimmers and mattes and enough range of neutral and vibrant colors.

Too Faced never disappoints when it comes to their palettes. Their shadows blend so well, are super pigmented, and  have almost no fall out. Thats very important to me because I want my pennies to be spent on well worth items.

The Chocolate Bar experience begins as soon as you open the palette and the smell of sweet chocolate envelops you. The eye shadows are pigmented with pure, antioxidant-rich cocoa powder and includes 16 matte and shimmer shades of natural browns, delicate pinks and luscious plums. Includes our signature how-to Glamour Guide with three looks to get you started.  -from their website

This is my travel palette (the love is real) and has had its share of bumps. Luckily its survived every drop and the only real damage is the pan coming off. When I do someone else’s makeup I use this palette 90% of the time unless they want something more dramatic. Sometimes I wonder if I should’ve gotten the Semi Sweet palette just to have as part of the collection but I don’t “love it”.

Anyone else feel the same? Whats your go-to palette??

I wasn’t going to do one of these posts this week because I’ve been feeling under the weather so I haven’t been wearing much makeup. That and my makeup has been doing this funky thing where it looks cakey/bumpy. I’m not sure whats causing it but I’m almost positive it’s that I ran out of my Skindanavia setting spray.

But since I haven’t been wearing much makeup when I do I’ve been doing a much more soft look. I totally copied this from my bff. She posted a picture with no eyeliner on and I was in love. I always draw inspiration from the best and she never disappoints.💖 I do everything the same just skip the wing liner. img_1509-1

I’ve also been doing a nude lip. I have very pigmented lips so for me this a nude lol. This is Maybelline’s 920 Nudy Lust.

Image

In this pic I went with a glossy lip. The whole “liquid lipsticks” and mattes fad is getting a bit old. (lol) Just my opinion don’t judge me!! In this picture I used Satin sheets from the Bon Bon palette as a cheekbone and nose highlighter. The golden undertones go so well with my complexion. It feels like such a fresh look and totally different without a wing.

So I have to ask any drugstore setting spray I should get my hands on??

Living in Florida you would think I’d have a tan all year around. So I told myself I’d use my Too Faced Born This Way foundation and would be ok. Wrong! I had to wear a shirt with a high collar! When I was color matched for the foundation I was obviously tanned. Or maybe I should just color match myself?! I’m not sure who is to blame but I made it work!!

As always I primed with my Benefit Cosmetics Porefessional face primer. Concealed with NYX HD Concealer. Then I did foundation. All set with Mac’s Studio fix powder foundation. To set my under eye I used the Laura Mercier translucent powder.

For eyes I primed with Elizabeth Mott Thank Me Later eyeshadow primer. In the crease I used Lazarus from the Kat Von D ‘Shade & Light’ eye palette. For the brow bone I used Liberatus from the same palette and Lucius on the lid. That’s it. I told myself I was going for a “simple look”. For eyeliner, Kat Von D’s Ink Liner in trooper (I think I put the wrong name in other posts!! Sorry!). Mascara as always Roller Lash and Better Than Sex.

To warm up the face (not that I needed it lol!) and contour I used my favorite NYC Sunny bronzing face powder. For blush Milani’s baked blush in 05 Luminoso.  As a highlight Mary-Lou Minzer. And on the lips I just did a little gloss from NYX in Peaches and Cream.

I was happy with the finished look. Even though I messed up with the foundation I made it work, the beauty of makeup! In the end I think I went a little heavy on the eyes but it’s still one of my go to looks. As you can see I have acne and my skin isn’t perfect but that doesn’t hold me back and I hope no one else does. We are beautiful no matter what. Inside and out!

Have I mentioned I have a toddler?? Today I was photographing some of my favorite face products when little Miss Sky decided her ponies needed to be in the pictures. She went through all the trouble of setting them up that I decided to just keep the photos, lol!!

2:29:16-3

We have all heard the hype of this product all over youtube and as a person who has a hard time moving on from products I genuinely like I couldn’t bring myself to buy the big tube of this product. Instead I went on the Too Faced website and purchased the ‘Most loved’. I can’t find it on the website now but its similar to their ‘Beauty expert darlings’.

toofacedThe Hangover Replenishing Face Primer and Booster is an awesome primer I will definitely purchase full size. Here is some info straight from the Too Faced website:

MORE TO LOVE:
The unique combination of coconut water, probiotics and skin revivers work together to:
Hydrate and brighten skin
Promote skin’s elasticity and tone
Soothe and smooth the skin
Get all the priming benefits you love while looking like you received eight hours of sleep and drank your daily dose of H2O
Vegan Friendly
Paraben Free

I have oily skin and this does not make me extra oily. I wouldn’t say it controls it quite like the Porefessional but like this says it does provide that “dewey” look without being super oily. The coconut water provides an amazing scent and its so light weight. Unlike other primers this is so light on the skin.

2:29:16-2

Next, is the It Cosmetics Bye Bye under eye concealer. I received this little small sample in my Ipsy bag for the month of February and let me tell you, I’m buying FULL SIZE! I love it. I don’t  have severe bad under eye bags but on some days they do still poke through my foundation. I apply an eye cream, face moisturizer, primer, and then this stuff. I let it sit while I do my eyes, then my foundation. Normally with just this I don’t need to ‘highlight’ with another concealer. However, if I do, it doesn’t feel thick or cake-y!

2:29:16-1

And last but definitely not least is the Estee Lauder Double wear stay-in-place foundation. This foundation controls my oily face for sure. This is my to go foundation for the last year going on two! It applies well with both a beauty blender or brush. Usually one application is enough but if I ever need it I can definitely do two applications. But, if I need a light application I opt for my beauty blender and if I need more coverage a brush does the job. It does have a matte finish. With these 3 products my foundation routine is so easy and sweat/oil proof. I’ve worn this combination for 8hrs + and it holds up so well!

If you had any doubt about any of these products let me be the one to tell you they are worth every pretty penny. I’m a stay at home mom so I make sure all the products I buy are worth it!

Thanks for reading. I hope you enjoyed this post and hopefully I put you on to some awesome new products. Sky and I both hope our pictures put a smile on your face!!

I wasn’t sure if I was going to post another make up of the day so soon since I haven’t been wearing much makeup lately. But I finally got around to using my Too Faced Bon Bon palette!

Here is the look I created. I was so happy with it and drew inspiration from Missy Lyn on YouTube.

I tried something different and primed my eyelids with Mac’s pro long wear concealer and set it with the Laura Mercier translucent setting powder. As a transition shade I used mocha from the Bon Bon palette. Then taking Bordeaux on the outer corner and inner corner I slowly built up the shades intensity. With a little fix+ on my brush I put café au lait in the center of the lid. As a brow bone highlight I used the Balms Mary Lou minizer as well as the at the inner corners. As always as an eyeliner I used Kat Von D’s tattoo liner in trooper. For mascara I combined Benefit’s Roller lash and Too faced Better than sex. My favorite combination.

Like I said I was soooo happy with the end results! Here is the same pic with a filter.
