Monday Favorites (with a twist)

Monday Favorites (with a twist)

Have I mentioned I have a toddler?? Today I was photographing some of my favorite face products when little Miss Sky decided her ponies needed to be in the pictures. She went through all the trouble of setting them up that I decided to just keep the photos, lol!!

We have all heard the hype of this product all over youtube and as a person who has a hard time moving on from products I genuinely like I couldn’t bring myself to buy the big tube of this product. Instead I went on the Too Faced website and purchased the ‘Most loved’. I can’t find it on the website now but its similar to their ‘Beauty expert darlings’.

toofacedThe Hangover Replenishing Face Primer and Booster is an awesome primer I will definitely purchase full size. Here is some info straight from the Too Faced website:

The unique combination of coconut water, probiotics and skin revivers work together to:
Hydrate and brighten skin
Promote skin’s elasticity and tone
Soothe and smooth the skin
Get all the priming benefits you love while looking like you received eight hours of sleep and drank your daily dose of H2O
Vegan Friendly
Paraben Free

I have oily skin and this does not make me extra oily. I wouldn’t say it controls it quite like the Porefessional but like this says it does provide that “dewey” look without being super oily. The coconut water provides an amazing scent and its so light weight. Unlike other primers this is so light on the skin.

Next, is the It Cosmetics Bye Bye under eye concealer. I received this little small sample in my Ipsy bag for the month of February and let me tell you, I’m buying FULL SIZE! I love it. I don’t  have severe bad under eye bags but on some days they do still poke through my foundation. I apply an eye cream, face moisturizer, primer, and then this stuff. I let it sit while I do my eyes, then my foundation. Normally with just this I don’t need to ‘highlight’ with another concealer. However, if I do, it doesn’t feel thick or cake-y!

And last but definitely not least is the Estee Lauder Double wear stay-in-place foundation. This foundation controls my oily face for sure. This is my to go foundation for the last year going on two! It applies well with both a beauty blender or brush. Usually one application is enough but if I ever need it I can definitely do two applications. But, if I need a light application I opt for my beauty blender and if I need more coverage a brush does the job. It does have a matte finish. With these 3 products my foundation routine is so easy and sweat/oil proof. I’ve worn this combination for 8hrs + and it holds up so well!

If you had any doubt about any of these products let me be the one to tell you they are worth every pretty penny. I’m a stay at home mom so I make sure all the products I buy are worth it!

Thanks for reading. I hope you enjoyed this post and hopefully I put you on to some awesome new products. Sky and I both hope our pictures put a smile on your face!!

Rose Gold Beauties

Rose Gold Beauties

2:24:16-3So I told myself I would try and post at least 3 times a week so here I am!! Today I bring you these rose gold beauties that I am head over heels in love with. I first heard about Luxie Beauty through Ipsy. They sent me a blending brush in one of my monthly bags. Soon after receiving it I went on their website and purchased two more. These brushes are amazing, affordable, AND cruelty free!! I mean can it get any better than all that?!? Well yes, yes it can!!

“Flashback to the 90’s, when high quality and synthetic bristles were oxymorons in the world of makeup brushes. Seeing this shortage, yet battling with sensitive and allergy-prone skin herself, founder Tammy Huynh decided to take matters into her own hands.

“All of the cosmetic brands I tried broke me out,” she said. With over eight years of experience in the beauty industry, she envisioned a cosmetics line that wasn’t just for a pretty face, but a wholesome lifestyle.

After meeting husband Michael Tran, she was pushed to launch Luxie in 2014. The goal? Provide conscientious and beneficial makeup products to women. According to Michael, Tammy was his inspiration. With a creative background, he envisioned a pink and rose gold makeup brush, which became their first makeup brush line.

The Luxie signature is vegan, cruelty-free, hypoallergenic and high-quality.

Every single product has a purpose.

It was for that reason that Luxie’s vegan eyeshadow line is infused with vitamins C and E to provide added benefits to the skin. Or why each handcrafted makeup brush is coated with a revolutionary antibacterial solution. Luxie combines quality, conscience and character.

Since then, Luxie has delivered high-quality cosmetic products and inspired women everywhere to express their beauty. Based in San Jose, California, Luxie offers over 200 cosmetics products and fosters an online community of women who know that beauty is more than skin deep.

The Luxie woman owns who she is and what she wants.

She is aware that beauty and health are not mutually exclusive.

And she adds a touch of glamour into every area of her life.”

That is the ‘about us’ from their website. The brushes speak for themselves. They are soft, don’t shed at all, blend beautifully, and like she said they have never upset my skin. Sometimes certain brushes even after washing feel like they burn my skin.

These brushes vary in price from $10 and up. Luckily the BFF told me about a sale Ipsy had going on and I purchased the ‘eye set’ for $25 plus free of tax and free shipping. (Another awesome reason to join Ipsy lol.) In the eye set came #221 Flat definer, #207 Medium angled shading, #215 Small angle, #235 Blending, and #231 Small tapered blending.

If you love pink these are for YOU! They are adorable, fluffy, affordable, and amazing.

Thanks for reading. I hope you enjoyed this post and hopefully I put you on to some awesome new brushes!!!!

February’s Ipsy Glam bag

February’s Ipsy Glam bag

This month’s glam bag is so Valentines(ish)! The bag itself is black with a white envelope and a bright red heart in the center!!

It reminds me of an emoji 💌. I’m a huge fan of emojis little FYI. Now if you don’t know what Ipsy is I’ll tell you. It is a monthly subscription of $10 for 4-5 beauty products. They mostly come in sample sizes but there is usually one or two products that make the bag worth the price. Meaning it’ll be worth more than $10 itself. When you subscribe you answer some questions to decide what kind of products you’ll get that work specifically for you such as hair color and skin tone.

This month I was so excited for the bag itself but also for the iT cosmetics bye bye under eye concealer. It is a full coverage, anti-aging, waterproof concealer with hydro-collagen and vitamins C & K. I’ve read so many great reviews for this product that I am ecstatic to try it!

There’s a Vintage by Jessica Liebeskind sparkling lipgloss in ‘Pink Sequin’. A mineral blush by bellápierre cosmetics in MB001 Desert Rose. A ciaté mini nail polish in ‘my off duty nude’ which is a soft pinkish nude. Last but not least an ultra rich body butter by skinfix. It is dermatologist recommended has natural ingredients, Shea butter, coconut oil, sunflower oil, and is fragrance free!

Over all I’m super happy and excited with this month’s bag so many great products to try out and possibly buy full size!

In the picture the toofaced Bon Bon palette is included. That unfortunately did not come in the bag. I actually got it as a valentines gift.  I just couldn’t help myself including it because of all the hearts!

I hope this post was helpful to anyone considering Ipsy!! Until next time! Thanks for reading
