What I eat in a day

What I eat in a day

Hello everyone! This is a bit of a different post. I wanted to share something with everyone. . . I have made a choice to change the way I’ve been eating/living. Often times when we fall into hard times we deal with it in different ways. Some people can’t eat when stressed, depressed, or in a “funk”. Me, personally I stress eat.

My current starting weight is/was 170 lbs. I don’t feel healthy or even good about this. When playing with my kids I run out breathe fast and we stopped going for walks. So about a week ago I decided enough is ENOUGH!

The first thing I did was open up my MyFitnessPal app IMG_1593

I set my weight and goal which then it generated me at 1330 calories a day. In the past I think there were days were I could easily consume two or three times that! 😣 It’s not easy to admit that but when stressed or bored I ate. Hungry or not I found myself reaching for the pantry!

My goal isn’t “get skinny” it’s BE HEALTHY! Show my children better choices. I’d also like to mention I had gestational diabetes with my daughter and there’s a history of diabetes in my family. Change meant more vegetables & fruit, less take out, and smaller portions.

IMG_1577

This is what a breakfast has been looking for me. I try to keep my meals between 300-400 calories per meal. This deliciousness is 315 calories. My K cup of French Vanilla 100% Arabica Coffee was 5. 3 medium eggs 180 going at 60 calories per egg. Spinach is around 70 calories for a whole bag but I only used a handful so I rounded it to about 10 calories. I use turkey bacon and each slice is 25 cals. and I had 3, 75 cals. And for my coffee I used sugar-free French vanilla creamer, 3 tablespoons at 15cals each so 45 calories.

IMG_1583

For lunch I do one of two things: have left overs from dinner or go to my “go to” meal. Pictured here is a meal that averaged 345 calories. Sun Dried tomato chicken sausage 90 calories each and I have 2, 180 cals. Half cup of mixed veggies, 45 cals. Baby Brussel sprouts lightly sauced, 60 cals for half a cup. 1/4 cup of pinto beans, 60 cals. (I had left overs from dinner the night before if not I’d do half a cup of beans too.) Not pictured is siracha sauce drizzled on my sausages. Siracha is 0 cals! 🤩

In between meals I snack. Usually fruit and peanut butter. Or a slice of toast and peanut butter.

IMG_1580

This nights dinner averaged 390 cals. 3oz of skirt steak, 187 cals. Half cup of pinto beans, 120 cals. Pico salsa 4 tablespoons about 33 cals. Now sometimes its hard to get an accurate number if its something I can’t just scan. MyFitnessPal gives you the option to manually enter ingredients and generates a recipes caloric amount. And lastly a spinach and herb tortilla wrap, 50 cals.

With each meal I have just water. Unless I’m having a craving then I’ll have a La’Croix.  But I read carbonated drinks don’t help during weightless because of the carbonation.

IMG_1558

Homemade chicken tacos and black beans, 724 cals.

On days like this I try to stick to a breakfast and lunch that has no bread because I know my dinner will be high in calories. But I rather give into my cravings and have control over what I eat than go out and have a meal full of ’empty calories’.

IMG_1572

Here we had homemade “general tso”. This meal averaged 479 calories. It was so good and could hardly tell it wasn’t take out.

I try to do the typical 10,000 steps a day and usually get between 4-7k. I’m a stay at home mom so sometimes its hard to get out. But that’s part of the change. . . do stuff as family so we have started going on walks. I also walk the kids to the furthest playground from our house to get in some steps (1 mile there one back).

I’d like to mention that I read that using smaller plates help with portion control. Something about not feeling the need to fill a huge plate with food. I also take my time chewing. I was a slow eater to begin with but I read being conscious of the food we eat, savoring, enjoying it helps.

IMG_1591

This is what my progress looks like. This caloric counting is supposed to average a weight-loss of a pound a week and from the 16th to the 20th I lost 2 lbs! Such a great boost! I weigh myself every Friday morning. I don’t know whats recommended since I’m obviously no expert. But besides those 2 lbs lost I’ve noticed other changes in me. I don’t run out of breath while going up the stairs. My headaches have been less. I’m less tired and less lethargic.

IMG_1584

IMG_1586

It had honestly been so long since I had taken a selfie. Maybe, I think, my last makeup post. I know two pounds is nothing but to myself it feels great!

Anyone starting a weightless journey?? Any tips or advice??

Until next time. . .

Thanks for reading I hope you enjoyed this post! -Prissy 💖

Change is coming. . .

Change is coming. . .

Hello everyone! I want to say my typical “sorry I’ve been gone but. . . ” but I have no excuse. Truth is back in late January I had a miscarriage. I tried using my blog and shopping to ease my pain and get my mind off of things but truth is I hadn’t. Emotionally I hadn’t recovered and I wasn’t in an ok place.

I’ve slowly started to accept it and realize that I still have a wonderful husband and two children that need me.

IMG_1465

So with that being said I’d like to announce that my blog will be changing a bit. I will be doing more lifestyle posts. I will never give up on makeup or lose my love for it. But I just don’t have the money to keep up. I believe in writing about what I love and I won’t settle for just any makeup just to produce content.

I will still do makeup related posts. I just want to include more on what my life is like aside from makeup. I just realized most days I don’t wear makeup. My husband’s job has been crazy busy and that leaves me with a 5-year-old and 1-year-old all day. Truth is I have no time to beat my face.

Instead follow me on my journey that revolves around food, family, and long days at the beach!

Hopefully this change doesn’t mean we’re parting ways instead it’ll bring us closer. I personally love beauty blogs/channels and lifestyle types. I will try to stay with my Monday Wednesday Friday schedule. But if need be I will change them.

If there’s anything specific you guys want to see or want me to post about just let me know!

I am so excited for this change!

Do any of you have a Youtube channel? Link it pleaese so I can check it out!

Ipsy February Glam Bag!

Ipsy February Glam Bag!

Ipsy 2

This months Ipsy bag was titled Unzipped.

Ipsy Website Explaining Unzipped

Ipsy 3

I wasn’t initially very excited about this months bag. It seems like all I get are face moisturizers and masks. And some shadows here and there. But when I saw the brush I felt a little better. Then I redeemed some points and BAM I couldn’t wait!

Ipsy 4

I’ve owned a Clinique moisturizer in the past and it was good. I liked it but for some reason I never repurchased it. Probably because Ipsy sends a new moisturizer in every single bag! So when my best friend and I compared bags I was a little jelly she was getting some awesome goodies. She saw this she told me how great it is and let’s be honest Rocy never lies.

Clinique’s Moisture Surge 72-Hour

Our addictively refreshing gel-cream is now enhanced to give your skin the power to rehydrate itself. Delivers a 152% instant moisture boost. Keeps skin almost twice as hydrated at the end of the day than it did before. Enjoy 72 hours of non-stop hydration, even after washing your face. Clinique Website

Ipsy 5

Ipsy 6

This Sand and Sky Brilliant Pink Clay Mask seems like it’s a lot more soothing than most clay masks I get. It claims that:

– Detoxify + Brighten in only 10 minutes.*

– Tightens pores and boost radiance.*

– Protect against damage caused by pollution.

– No nasties, not tested on animals.

Ipsy 7

First things first when I got this “eyeshadow” I thought it was blush 😄. This is the eyeshadow Taffy by Beaute Basics. On the Ipsy website it describes this shadow as a “peachy pink with gold flecks”. It also says to wet your brush and dip for a more vibrant, shiny, and sleek look.

I can’t wait to wear this for spring! Is it here yet??

Ipsy 8

Up next is this Pink Pewter Lash But Not Least Dual Sided Mascara in black. Ok,  I was a little stoked about this because of the double ended tube.

Ipsy 9

Ipsy 12One side promotes Volume while the other promotes Curling. Pictured here is the volume side and let me begin by saying I like the bristles. They’re full but don’t pull out too much product. Its cruelty free and waterproof. Ipsy 13.jpg

The other side the curling side is a mystery to me, LOL! I’ve never seen a mascara wand like it.

Ipsy 10

Ipsy 11

It says each side can be worn alone or together for the most extra look, hahah JK!

The Pink Pewter “Lash But Not Least” Double Sided Mascara holds nothing back when it comes to drama. Each with their own specific wand to enhance the formula; the Curling Mascara will wrap your lashes around its perfect little wand to help sculpt each lash exactly where you want it, then the Extreme Voluminous Extender will take it to another level giving you more volume than you dreamed possible. Use one at a time or together for an unforgettable water-resistant look. Pink Pewter Website

Honestly I’m glad I received this product because it introduced me to a brand I definitely want to check out more of.

Up next was supposed to be a pretty purple brush but my son lost it. In the time it took me to switch out stuff for another picture he had it and was gone. I’ll link below the website for it and there’s a 25% off discount code! WINNING!

FARAH website

Ipsy Luxie

Last but not least is this Luxie brush I redeemed points for. That’s the cool thing about Ipsy. Luxie is of course cruelty free and vegan. Pictured here is the #522 Tapered Highlighter.

I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with my bag this month! Another month together Ipsy!

What did you get in your bag? Are you still fond of Ipsy??

Valentine’s Day Look!

Valentine’s Day Look!

IMG_1020

I can’t deny how excited I am about Vday this year! Mainly because our 5-year-old is in school and she finally understands what holidays are! With another baby finding time to go on dates is hard but maybe we can do a “family date”.

I am over all happy with how this look turned out. I absolutely love the halo look.

Valentines Day 4

I personally like pink for Vday because red reminds me too much of Christmas lol. So I did a pink eye look with a rose gold halo and paired it with pink lips!

Valentines day1

I achieved this look using only ONE palette! I know crazy! I normally like to mix and get a little from here and there. Not this time! I used the Huda Beauty Rose Gold Edition.

Valentines Day 6

For a transition shade I used Shy. On the crease I used Flamingo. On the outer and inner corner I did Maneater. In the center of the lid I picked Angelic which is a rose gold. At the end once I applied eyeliner I deepened the inner and outer corner with the shade Bossy.

Valentines Day 3

For highlight I used my Wet n Wild I talked about in this post. I added that to the highest points of my cheekbones, my cupids bow, nose, and inner eye.

Also on the lips I did MAC’s Spice paired with NYX’s Sao Paolo.

I had so much fun creating this look. And I hope you enjoyed it also. Now, lets all agree to ignore my ragedy faded hair 🤣 (ps. I love snapchat filters. LOL)

IMG_1002

Do you have any big plans for this Valentine’s Day?

Fave Highlights!

Fave Highlights!

I had every intention of today’s post being a Valentine’s Day look. . . until I realized I would’ve had to pick up my daughter from school in a full face of holiday makeup. Now normally I don’t care for stuff like that but I also didn’t want to do my hair. And a Valentine’s Day look requires a nice do!

So instead I bring you my favorite part of makeup, HIGHLIGHT! For a long time I was a devoted Mary Louminizer addict until it broke and I haven’t gotten around to buying a new one. This tragedy forced me to venture out and try new products. Today I bring you variation.

I’ve included affordable and liquid highlights!

Fave Highlights 2

My die-hard favorite and OG is Laura Geller’s Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator in Gilded Honey. For an olive warm/neutral complexion like mine this highlight pairs so well. When it says it’s an illuminator it definitely is. It melts right on the skin to look so natural and radiant. It wears so well throughout the day and doesn’t fade. It retails for $26 but it’s so worth every penny!

Fave Highlights 6

Up next is Maybelline’s FaceStudio Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter in Molten Gold. Molten Gold  in my opinion reminds me so much of Gilded Honey. Except Molten Gold has a more peach undertone where Gilded Honey is a true gold. (I will include swatches)

Fave Highlights 5

Molten Gold is a beautiful affordable highlight except it doesn’t last all day like my Laura Geller Gilded Honey. I’ve noticed that after a while it starts to fade. Which isn’t bad and its so subtle it can definitely be worn every single day to add a touch of glow to your look. This retails for $9.99.

Fave Highlights 7

When you hear “drug store products” people often think cheap worthless makeup. Wet n Wild is from far that. While it is VERY affordable its products are all that and more! It has easily become my favorite brand for highlights since it only retails for $4.99 its a steal. While I own some of the other shades this MegaGlo Highlighting Powder in Botanic Dream is my favorite because its pink! Naturally I only wear it on Wednesday 😜 JK

Fave Highlights 9

This is another highlight that provides a beautiful sheen of glow without being powdery or over bearing. Highlights can sometimes be too much and I opt for more of a natural glow formula. . . as if we glowed in pink. LOL! When I want an intense look I will pair this with my  Colourpop Highlight

Fave Highlights 10

Last in my Faves collection is NYX’s Born to Glow Illuminator in Gleam. This is another shade that goes very well with my complexion. I often opt to wear this alone when I only do mascara and eyebrow gel.

I mentioned in another post how dry my skin has been and how I mixed a liquid highlight with my primer and this is it! It’s so versatile in the sense it can be worn alone, layered with another highlight for a brighter look, and over makeup as just a highlight on its own. NYX is another brand that’s very affordable with great products.

It retails for $7.49!! STEAL!!

Fave Highlights Swatch

From left to right: Maybelline’s Molten Gold, Wet nWild’s Botanic Dream, Laura Geller’s Gilded Honey, and NYX’s Gleam.

Fave Highlights Swatch2

I had so much fun with this post because I absolutely love these products. They’re so beautiful, affordable, and FUN!

What are some of your favorite highlighters? Do you like high-end or drugstore better?

Ulta Haul!!

Ulta Haul!!

I am so happy about this post! I have purchased some new goodies I am excited to share with you!

On a whim I applied for the Ulta card and now I am a devoted Ulta shopper. Which probably isn’t a good thing.

Ulta Haul 1

I got a few little goodies just for fun. I wasn’t really sure if I should jump on the Nars wagon since I’ve seen so many positive/negative reviews. But alas here I am with my little haul.

Ulta Haul 3

Lets start with the prettiest thing you have seen! Lime Crime now has Unicorn Hair tint. It’s a semi permanent tint that leaves a pretty wash of color. I got the color Moonchild.

Ulta Haul 4

As you know Lime Crime is cruelty free and vegan. Yay! And it states that it leaves hair feeling silky and conditioned. It also smells really good! Perfect for your journey to becoming a UNICORN!🦄

Ulta Haul 5

If you read my last post  then you know I have been trying out or on the hunt for luminous primers. With my dryness making my skin look healthy and with a slight glow is my goal! Here I have Benefits The POREfessional Pearl Illuminating Face Primer.  I’ve seen and read good things about this primer so I was really stoked to try it. . . and you can’t go wrong with pink packaging.

Ulta Haul 9

Ulta Haul 10

It claims that it minimizes pores, while keeping you matte, creates radiance, and brightens the skin. I haven’t yet tried it but I can’t wait to do so! Of course it’s just the sample size since I don’t know yet if I’ll love it. Which I love my other Benefit primer so I have HIGH HOPES.

Ulta Haul 11

Let’s go back to me complaining about my dry skin 😂 Lately I’ve been layering setting sprays. I do MAC’s Fix+ and E.L.F.’s setting spray. And at night after I wash my face and moisturize I sprits some setting spray before bed. I want to say this has helped with the dry spots.

Ulta Haul 8

Therefore when my BFF gifted me a Ulta gift card I instantly went on the Ulta app and searched for MAC’s Fix+ in lavender. . . But then I remembered how much I love Mario Badescu’s facial spray in rosewater. So I opted for the sample size of the Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Chamomile, and Lavender. Lets begin with how good it smells! It’s almost as good as the rosewater but that is one of my favorite scents in the world. Second best is lavender and third is chamomile.

I spritsed a bit when I first received it. It is definitely amazing. Instantly it felt soothing and cooling perhaps because of the scent. This will definitely be part of my night routine!

Along with the facial spray I got NARS Natural Radiant Longer Foundation. I wasn’t really in the market for a foundation. We will call this my “impulse purchase”. LOL!

Now lets begin by saying I have read/heard good and bad things about this foundation. I got the shade Sahel 2.5 which is a ‘medium w/golden peach undertones’. . . I might’ve gotten the wrong shade! Sigh, I know right rookie mistake buying online. With that being said some people claim it oxidises. I’m not sure if it does because I havent tried it. I wanted to take pretty pics 😝

NARS by far has the prettiest packaging very sleek and professional. This foundation bottle also has a pump, YESSSSSS! I tend to pour too much foundation if I don’t have a pump. Ulta Haul 16

There’s longwear. And then there’s strongwear.
Introducing NARS’ first 16-hour foundation that stays turned on by the power of radiance. Untraceable. Unstoppable. Unlike anything else. Longwear is finally lightweight—and radiant. High coverage is now super natural. Its breathable, fade-resistant formula is infused with Raspberry, Apple, and Watermelon extracts to help smooth and improve the look of your skin instantly, and over time for full-powered radiance. It wears longer, stays stronger, and looks better with each hour. Specialized skin-matching technology ensures your truest match yet. Your future looks radiant with Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation. NARS websiteUlta Haul 19

Last but not least is a little gift I recieved for purchasing a NARS product.

I usually hate little products haha. JUST KIDDING I just don’t like little lipsticks. But this shade is pretty and Spring-ish. I can’t wait to try it. I received the shade Orgasm. . . which just made me want the blush!

Ulta Haul 6

I am over all so happy and excited about my little haul. And since I took my pretty pictures I can now go play with new makeup!

Do you have any of these products? Do you love/hate them??

Updated Face Routine!

Updated Face Routine!

I never thought I’d be the type of person whose makeup routine would change. Since I started wearing makeup I’ve always been oily. Regardless if I wear makeup or not. I oil up like there’s no tomorrow. But this winter that has changed! Let me tell you its thrown me for a loop.

violet2

I was pretty set on using primers that would keep me matte. Especially with living here in Florida I never imagined I’d experience “dry” skin. Its strange!

violet3

First things first I double moisturize. Crazy, I know! I have dry patches therefore I will double moisturize in those areas. Everywhere else I just stick to one. My overall face moisturizer is my trusty Philosophy Renewed Hope In A Jar. Then I layer a small amount of Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet.

violet

For primer I’ve only recently changed it to Dr. Brandts Pores No More Luminizer Primer. I was on the hunt for a primer that would make my dull skin luminous since I felt like with dry skin adding layers of color correcting wasn’t for me. So a little hack I had going was I’d combine a small amount of liquid highlighter with my Benefit’s PoreFessional Face Primer. This worked good but I wanted to eliminate a step to my routine.

Foundation hasn’t changed. . . I’m still a die-hard fan of Wet & Wild Photofocus Foundation. I have to combine two colors which in a way is a win because I can change it up if need be. Something else that has changed is my concealer. I’ve opted for a shade lighter than my foundation for a every day look. I’ve been obsessed with L.A Girl concealer and I am still setting my makeup with RCMA setting powder.

violet4

Something new I do that I’m not sure if I have mentioned it before is instead bronzing with a bronzer I have opted to bronze with MAC’s Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation. I am in the shade NC42 during the summer and NC40 during winter (or when im not in the sun much). I just place that in a 3 motion on the face. Then to contour I use Benefit’s Hoola Matte Bronzer and I don’t bring that up to my forehead. Even tanned I’ve felt it bronzed me way too much.

violet5

Eyebrows are basic just Essence brow gel. Mascara is still L’oreal telescopic. Hightligher is Maybelline’s Facestudio Master Chrome Metallic Hightligheter in Molten Gold. My lips have been super basic too, MAC’s Stripdown. Thats it. IMG_0910

As you can see it is seriously my go to makeup look. I have bought some new goodies I can’t wait to try out that are for “dry” skin. So a new post with that will be coming soon.

Ok, now we can acknowledge the hair. LOL!! This post is about to get serious. . . I was pregnant. Sadly we lost the baby a few weeks ago. Wearing makeup and changing my hair is an effort to be myself again. I was in a deep funk which was borderline depression and I felt I needed change. I needed some color in my life when it all felt so dark and gray.

To achieve this color I used Lime Crime’s Moonchild. It obviously wasnt enough and I will be going over it again. But so far I like it! A LOT!! (I will be including the dye in my upcoming posts. If anyones interested.)

What are some tips you have for seasonal dry skin? Any new favorite makeup I should know about?? Tips for dyed hair??

Current Favorites!!

Current Favorites!!

I’M BACK!! Today I would like to tell you guys about my current favorites! My skin has taken a turn for the worst and has broken out so bad! I blame it on a bad skin care routine and stress. With that being said I haven’t been wearing much makeup but when I do here is what I’ve been loving!

We will start with eyeshadow we all know that’s our obsession.

IMG_0468

My husband was deployed in Dubai and this is one of the gifts he brought back! The Huda Beauty Rose Gold palette. Let me first say Huda is goals. A beauty blogger who now has her own makeup line?? YES, please! The shades in this palette are gorgeous. It has easily become my day-to-day go to (when I do wear makeup).

IMG_0466-2

DSC00862 copy

The pigmentation is everything! I regret not taking pictures as soon as I got it since I’ve had it for a month now and have dipped into it plenty and as you can see it still looks new. It’s so pigmented that I’ve had to tap off as much as I can because I have a very heavy hand. The consistency is very soft and buttery. But the textured shadows have an almost mousse consistency. I apply those (and have noticed it works better) with just my fingertip. What I love the most is the endless eye looks that can be created with this palette. Soft glam, smokey, even a beautiful halo! It has great transition shades, crease shades, and a great selection of lid shades.

This palette retails for $65 which is easily one of my most expensive eyeshadow palettes and its sold at Sephora .

Next is these two Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour blushes. DSC00863 copy

I received the first one named Paarty for my birthday from Sephora. The second one I actually got from my Ipsy November Glam Bag. The color is Feisty which is a “dusty rose”. On the Ipsy website it has the 3 shades they sent out but they don’t on the   Tarte website. So I’m not sure if it was an Ipsy exclusive.

Super soft, silky powder chock full of true-color mineral pigments lets you layer on your glow with no harsh lines or chalky build-up. Its micronized Amazonian clay helps control oil & infuse moisture for balanced skin & seamless blending. The magnetized pan lets you pop your favorite shade from its compact to create a custom palette.

IMG_0470

Something else I received in last months Glam Bag is this Crown Brush. It is the C141 Small Chisel Brush that “is great for highlight and blush.” AGREED!

IMG_0474-2

IMG_0476

I actually use it for blush and I love it. Before this brush I used Luxie’s angled brush to apply blush and I thought I’d never give it up. I was wrong. This brush is so soft. I haven’t gotten to the best part. . . this brush retails for ONLY $5.69! 😱

The grand finale is another Dubai gift. Chanel Rouge Coco in the shade Adrienne. It is such a lightweight classic nude.

IMG_0479

IMG_0483

I pair it with MAC’s StripdownIMG_0488-2

IMG_0486

The lipstick alone is very creamy so I do recommend lining the lips before applying it. And it just so happens to pair so great with Stripdown. Stripdown in my opinion is such a classic everyday color. I usually use it as a lip color on its own if I want a wash of color on the lips. However, this lipliner can be VERY drying. On the Mac website this is described as a brown beige and I’ve seen it be very brown on some skin tones and more mauve on my own.

Overall these products have worked so well and I enjoy them so much!

What are some of your current favorites?

Where have I been?

Where have I been?

Hello everyone and please accept this apology! I have been gone for what seems like forever but let me assure you I have my reasons why. Life simply got in the way. . .

If you follow my blog then you know my husband was on a 6 month deployment. Which meant I had to be mom and dad in the mean time. It’s never easy to go from having constant help to having none!

Here’s a recap of what happened since my last post in July. . .

It has been an emotional rollercoaster with some up’s and down’s but I wouldn’t trade any of it! I can’t wait to get in the groove of blogging again hopefully 2-3 times a week!! There’s so much makeup and beauty products I can’t wait to talk about with you guys!

Again I’m sorry I was away for so long. . .please forgive me!

My Boxycharm!!!

My Boxycharm!!!

There is something I absolutely love about these subscription boxes/bags. Perhaps its the fact that every month feels like I’m gifting myself something new. Or the opportunity to experience new products for a low price.

I’ve been part of the Ipsy family for a while now I believe two years. I liked that for $10 I was able to meet new products that have been “specifically” picked for me. Therefore I went ahead and jumped on the Boxycharm wagon.

My best friend gave Birchbox a shot and after one month she wasn’t pleased. Naturally I was nervous. Mainly because unlike Ipsy, Boxycharm is $21. The difference? Boxycharm sent all full-sized items.

DSC_0510

DSC_0511

Lets start off this post with my favorite: Brushes! You already know I am a Luxie addict. I have received its brushes in the past and have personally purchased many on my own. This #640 Pro Precision Tapered brush retails for $24. That in itself paid for the box! WINNING!

As you know Luxie beauty is cruelty free and vegan. Therefore its been one of my go to for brushes aside from Real Techniques. This specific brush I’ve used to apply highlight and blush (when I want a light wash of color).

DSC_0521

Speaking of highlight I got this beauty as well! I first heard of Artist Couture when Jackieaina on YouTube did a collab with them.

DSC_0522

DSC_0523

This Diamond Glow Powder in Illuminati is all that. . . and more! It’s a loose highlight. This is my first time experiencing a loose highlight since most I get are pressed. I like to pair it with my Colourpop highlight. Since that one has a mousse consistency I feel like it looks intensified paired with this highlight.

This highlight is cruelty free and vegan. YAY!! This retails for $26.99 on the website.

This shimmering powder packs a high glow with a light silver and champagne iridescence, suitable only for true glow getters! This all–natural loose powder is finely milled.  With versatility in use, it is suitable for light to dark skin tones. Ok, Soo for me receiving a whole eyeshadow palette was exciting. We all know how pricey palettes can get and compared to Ipsy’s one shadow at a time getting this was thrilling! LOL!

This palette 1 by RealHer left me at a loss for words. I don’t always gravitate to shimmers. Just isn’t me. BUT WOW! The pigmentation is amazing. As you can see it has very little almost NO fallout. I wish I would’ve done swatches to do it justice. The colors are gorgeous and right up my neutral alley. Retails for $28

This palette has a rich-pigmented hues and sexy combinations designed for all eye colors and skin tones. Delight in long-wearing, crease-resistant, fade-resistant, buildable colors in textures raging from velvety smooth mattes to metallic sheens. -Boxycharm website

How late am I with getting a Ofra Cosmetics liquid lip??? In my defense liquid lipsticks scare me because of an allergic reaction I once got to one. But that’s the beauty of these subscription boxes, huh?

I received this beautiful shade of pink. In the picture it looks like a vibrant pink but because of my tan skin tone it looks a bit deeper on me. It is everything it says and more. It isn’t dry, doesn’t flake, and it doesn’t leave a nasty white line on the inner part of the lips like some liquid lipsticks do. Even more reasons to be scared of them, haha!!

Like with most lip products whether they’re matte, liquid, or even a gloss I like to moisturize before applying a product on. Most times I use just some chapstick while I do my face and eyeshadow first. This product retails for $19.90.

I received 3: First up is “I woke up like this”- enhances skin natural glow. With wild rose and vitamin C. Next is “#beauty secret”- Moisturizes to help the skin appear smooth and firm. With pomegranate and hyaluronic acid. Lastly, “#primer”- Prep the skin for a flawless makeup application. With tea tree oil, rosehip extract, and vitamin C. Enhances radiance, minimizes pores, and evens skin tone. These retail for $14.97

As you can see almost every one of these products paid for the box alone. I am so satisfied with it and I will stick to it. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of options like with Ipsy where everyone gets something different. Kind of looks like everyone gets the same products just in different colors. But for being full size that’s fine with me!

I want to end this post with an apology. I know I haven’t been consistent with my posts but as some of you may remember my husband is deployed and it gets a bit hectic by myself. While that’s no excuse I would still like to apologize!

Thanks for sticking around this long! Does anyone else get Boxycharm and absolutely loves it? Is it enough to cancel Ipsy?? Thoughts??
